1. About this notice
This privacy notice (“Notice”) applies if you reside in India. This Notice applies to all users of HookSpace's mobile applications, websites and any other service offered by HookSpace. You will be a 'User' if you download and use the HookSpace app or website to create an account and use the services offered by HookSpace. This Notice also covers the handling of personal data of non-users whose data features in HookSpace's services but who are not subject to HookSpace's Terms of Service.
This Notice describes how HookSpace Technologies Private Limited ("HookSpace", "we", "our", "us") processes your personal data when you use our mobile applications, websites, web service API, tools, social media or other services and features provided by HookSpace from time to time ("Services").
2. Our role in processing your personal data
For the processing activities governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA"), HookSpace is the data fiduciary of your personal data, except where explicitly stated otherwise. We process your personal data in accordance with what is stated herein.
3. Personal data we collect about you
What data we collect and process depends on the services and features you use. Below we describe the categories of personal data we process:
a. App user profile information
When you create an account on HookSpace, you register with your name, email, and phone number. You can add other information such as your photo, brand or agency you work with, LinkedIn profile, and professional experience. You can log in using Google or other OAuth providers — we store your email and login preferences.
b. Verification data for Brands
For certain features, Brands must verify their identity and association with a legitimate business. We collect professional email, phone number, LinkedIn profile, social media profiles, and references for verification.
c. Usage information
We collect information about how you use our Services, including device type, operating system, app versions, and feature usage for troubleshooting and improvement.
d. Information from your use of the app
Information you share when contacting customer support; verification data such as OTPs for email and phone; and, with your permission, data from your device's contacts list to enable collaboration features.
e. Creator and Influencer information
We collect and display information about Creators and Influencers from Users, third‑party platforms (Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and information shared directly by Creators. This may include contact details, content category, profile picture, payment terms, and barter preferences.

5. Advertising
Depending on your preferences and consent, we may use online/device identifiers and cookies for targeted advertisements to keep our Services available without charge.
6. Sources of data
We collect data from:
- You: Directly when you use our Services
- Authentication partners: When you log in via Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc., we receive name, email, and profile picture — we do not store third‑party passwords
- Other users: Information other users provide about you
- Third‑party providers: For location, usage analytics, safety, and support
7. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in Clause 4. After account deletion, we delete your data from our systems, except where retention is required by law or for legal claims.
8. Recipients of your data
Profile information may be visible to other HookSpace users. We may disclose data to group companies, vendors, service providers, and, where required, law enforcement or authorities.
9. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data about a child, please contact us at contact@hookspace.in.
10. Your rights
Under the DPDPA, you have the right to object, be informed, rectification, erasure, data portability, and to withdraw consent. Contact us via the details in Clause 12 to exercise these rights. We will respond to rectification and erasure requests within 5 days where applicable.
11. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, or harm. Access is limited to authorised personnel who need it to perform their duties.

16. Instagram data usage
When you connect your Instagram account to HookSpace, we access information with your explicit consent to provide analytics and collaboration features.
Data we collect (with your consent)
- Instagram user ID, username, name, profile picture URL
- Follower count and basic profile metrics
- Posts and media (when you grant access) for performance analytics
- Insights and analytics data (reach, engagement, impressions) to deliver campaign and audience analytics
Purpose of use
This information is used only to:
- Display verified Instagram details on your profile
- Provide analytics and insights to you and collaborating brands
- Help brands and marketers evaluate your content performance for collaborations
Consent
We collect Instagram posts, insights, and analytics only with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting HookSpace from your Instagram Apps and Websites settings.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your Instagram data with third parties. Data is used only within the HookSpace platform for the purposes described above.
Storage and security
Your Instagram information is stored securely and accessible only to authorised personnel. We follow standard security practices to protect user data.
Revoking access
Revoke HookSpace's access to your Instagram account at any time by removing it from your Instagram Apps and Websites page. We will stop collecting and processing your Instagram data upon revocation.
17. YouTube / Google OAuth data usage
When you connect your YouTube account via Google OAuth, we access limited information including channel name, profile image, URL, and subscriber count. We do not access private data such as video analytics, email, content details, or ad performance unless you explicitly grant additional permissions.
You may revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
